More About the Product
The High Sleeper Bed, at 177 cm high, maximizes space in the children's room. The area underneath can be used as a play zone, a kids’ workspace, or for an extra guest bed. If your child no longer wishes to sleep at an elevated height, the bed's underconstruction can easily be removed, lowering the bed to a standard height. This transforms it into a basic children's bed that you can continue to build upon.
A LIFETIME High Sleeper Bed 120 cm is a sustainable and versatile choice for long-term use.
The bed offers extra space for better comfort and sleep quality. It is perfect for sharing during bedtime stories or sleepovers and an ideal solution for teenagers and young adults.
The classic Scandinavian look provides a timeless design that can be easily combined with other styles.
The bed's headboards on each side ensure that your child can sleep safely up high.
The staircase can be placed on either the right or left side of the bed, giving you greater flexibility when arranging the children's room. Additionally, the smart staircase doubles as storage, featuring spacious drawers in the steps and a shelf on the side.
The unique feature of beds from LIFETIME Kidsrooms is that you can always create the children's bed you desire, no matter which bed you start with. All our furniture follows the same design language, allowing you to combine pieces exactly to suit your child's individual needs.
Slatted Base Guide
All LIFETIME beds are tested with slatted bases or slats and are therefore only offered in this way. You can decide for yourself which quality best meets your own needs.
Standard slatted base (16 slats)
Max. recommended distributed weight: 150 kg.
16 moulded and laminated birch or beech slats that are screwed directly into the sides of the bed.

Premium slatted base (23 slats)
Max. recommended distributed weight: 200 kg.
23 moulded and laminated birch or beech slats that are screwed directly into the sides of the bed. Strong and reliable support, especially when parents would like to lie in the bed as well.

Deluxe slatted base (28 slats)
Max. recommended distributed weight: 200 kg.
A frame with 28 slats that are mounted in plastic caps on the sides and can move flexibly together.

How much weight can a bed carry – and can an adult sleep in it?
The maximum weight limit is determined by the slatted base. For beds with standard slats, we recommend a maximum weight of 150 kg. For beds with a deluxe slatted base or premium slats, we recommend that the maximum distributed weight of 200 kg is not exceeded. This ensures that the slats also have a long lifespan.
What is the difference between the standard slatted base and the premium slatted base?
Both slatted bases consist of moulded and laminated birch or beech slats that are screwed directly into the sides of the bed. The difference is that the standard version has 16 slats, while the premium version has 23 slats, which is why the premium slatted base can support more weight than the standard one and is ideal for floor beds.
Standard slatted base: 150 kg.
Premium slatted base: 200 kg.
Does a deluxe slatted base fit into a bed that was made for use with standard slats?
Before 2023, new bed sides had to be ordered if you wanted to switch from a deluxe to a standard slatted base. Since 2023, we have changed the bed sides so that they can be used for both options. Depending on when the bed was purchased, new bed sides may or may not be required.
Lacquer Info
White
The white lacquered children's furniture from LIFETIME Kidsroom is made of solid knot‑free pine wood to avoid the typical discolouration and unevenness that can occur with knots. The surface is treated with an environmentally friendly, water-based white lacquer and cured with UV light, ensuring an easy‑to‑clean and durable finish. For our white lacquered items, we use MDF for fronts, panels, doors and drawer fronts. Due to the use of different materials, slight variations in colour and pattern may occur.
Whitewash
For our children's beds in the whitewash colour, we use solid pine wood with knots for all bed components. This highlights the natural appearance of the furniture and the wood grain. The surface is treated with a water-based lacquer that contains fewer white pigments than the white lacquer, allowing the natural wood pattern to remain visible. The whitewash lacquer leaves some open pores on the surface, which may lead to normal, light discolouration over time.
If you wish to order lacquer to refresh your whitewash furniture, you are welcome to contact our service team.

Q & A

Where is LIFETIME Kidsrooms furniture produced?
LIFETIME Kidsrooms Original wooden furniture is produced in our production facilities in the Danish village Sønder Sejerslev in Southwest Denmark. Our Baby and Cool Kids collections are produced in Denmark by a Danish subcontractor. We have no own competences for producing textiles or accessories, so we collaborate with suppliers that are experts in their field and can help us with that. Collections in collaboration with Lorena Canals are produced in India. Together with our suppliers of accessories we make sure that all LIFETIME articles comply with our strict requirements and can be certified.
What wood is used for LIFETIME Kidsrooms furniture?
Our primary wood type is pine. Our wooden materials come from selected FSC-certified forest plantations in Northern Europe. The wood is delivered from Sweden, Finland, and the Baltic countries. We use suppliers with FSC certified wood, to make sure that the forests are maintained responsibly. By using FSC quality wood we make sure that enough trees are planted for the trees that are cut down and that there will be resources available for future generations.
In the North, where the climate becomes challenging and cold during winter, pine trees grow slower than in forest areas with warmer temperatures. As a result, trees take longer to grow up as it is challenging to grow in the harsh and cold climate. This makes the pine wood both harder and more durable than fast-growing pine from warmer forests. Our wood is given the time it needs to achieve the right conditions without the addition of artificial growing agents. We set strict requirements, because we wish to use the absolute best wood for our premium furniture production.
How much weight can a bed support - and can an adult sleep in it?
It is the slatted base that defines the max. weight limit. For beds with a standard slatted base, we recommend a maximum weight of 150 kg. For beds with a deluxe and Premium slatted base, we recommend that the maximum weight does not exceed 200 kg.
