A children’s bed is more than just a place to sleep – it provides a setting for your child’s sense of security, development and imagination. At LIFETIME Kidsrooms, we design and manufacture children’s beds in Denmark, with a focus on quality, safety and flexibility.
Our children’s beds are made from solid wood and designed as modular solutions that can grow with your child. Whether you’re looking for a classic, simple children’s bed, a Montessori floor bed or a more advanced solution with storage, our beds are designed to accompany your child through the different stages of childhood.
On this page, you will find our full range of children’s beds – designed to provide rest at night and space to play during the day.
Encourages play, learning, and growth
Montessori Floorbed
The Montessori floor bed is ideal for parents who want to ensure their child can get in and out of bed independently. Inspired by Montessori principles that encourage play, learning and development in your child.
The Montessori beds are available both as a teepee and in sizes 90x200 cm and 120x200 cm.
High beds create space in the room
High Sleeper Bed
A high sleeper bed creates plenty of floor space for play and storage. Underneath our tallest high sleeper bed bed, which is 177 cm high, there’s even room for a study area with a desk and office chair.
All our high sleeper beds come with a staircase featuring storage space or a ladder, and you can choose which side you want it on.
More sleeping spaces in just a few square metres
Bunk Bed
A bunk bed is a practical type of children’s bed that creates space for several sleeping places in the same children’s bedroom. Our bunk beds are available as children’s beds measuring 90x200 cm, but also as bunk beds where the lower bunk is 120 cm or 140 cm wide.
This makes the bunk bed ideal as a children’s bed for siblings, co-sleeping or sleepovers, and creates space for both several children and the whole family. Co-sleeping in a bunk bed can contribute to a sense of security and calm for the child.
What is a Children's bed?
A children’s bed is a bed designed specifically for children and their need for security, comfort and development. A good children’s bed not only ensures a good night’s sleep, but also provides a setting for play and imagination in everyday life. At LIFETIME Kidsrooms, you’ll find a wide selection of wooden children’s beds that combine high quality with flexible solutions that can grow with your child.
Which children's bed should you choose?
Choosing the right children’s bed depends on the child’s age, needs and the size of the room. For younger children, a low junior bed or Montessori bed is often the obvious choice, as the child can climb in and out by themselves. For older children, a single bed measuring 90x200 cm can be a good solution that will last for many years. Many people nowadays choose a children’s bed with storage to maximise space in the bedroom. Others opt for a mid-high bed or a bunk bed to make the most of the space and create room for play underneath the bed.
Types of children's beds
Junior bed
A junior bed is usually the first bed after the cot. It is low to the ground and helps the child feel secure during the transition to a bigger bed.
A simple children's bed
A classic children’s bed in sizes such as 90x200 cm is a versatile option that suits both younger and older children.
Montessori bed
A Montessori floor bed is a low children’s bed that gives the child the freedom to move around independently. This type of bed supports the child’s independence and development.
Children's bed with storage
A children's bed with drawers or storage space is ideal for smaller rooms where space needs to be used to its full potential.
How big should a child's bed be?
The most popular sizes are 90x200 cm, 120x200 cm and 140x200 cm. A larger bed can be used for many years and grow with the child.
