In a well-designed bed, you notice the lines, the proportions and the material. What you shouldn't notice is a row of screw heads breaking up the surface.
That's a detail we care about, and it's one you'll only fully appreciate once you start looking for it.
Joints are part of the design
Every bed has to be held together somehow. Strong joints are non-negotiable. But where they are and how visible they are is a design choice.
